Abstract: Abstract: Based on the investigations of stocking densities, daily feedings and concentrations of carbon dioxide in 15 sets of Atlantic salmon recirculating aquaculture systems, this research analyzed the influences of stocking densities and daily feedings on the accumulation of carbon dioxide. And then chose two systems which were under the conditions of different stocking densities, and compared the concentrations of carbon dioxide within each water-treatment unit in two systems in order to investigate its dynamic variation. Through correlation analysis, the results showed that the concentration of carbon dioxide increased along with the increasing stocking density, and there was a linear correlation between them (R2=0.747). Linear correlation was between daily feedings and concentration of carbon dioxide (R2=0.5742). When the feeding rate was 1.3%, the larger amount of daily feedings did not lead to the corresponding accumulation of carbon dioxide due to the existence of residual feeds. The concentration of carbon dioxide within each water-treatment unit in high-density system was higher than it in low-density system. Thus, the production process should focus on the optimization of carbon dioxide removal equipments.
